Neither do I.

But I don't really like mine either. 97+ are the best.

In my opinion, it's pretty hard to argue with the '97. No, not becuase I own one.

Generally they will have less wear and tear. Most of the bugs have been worked out. It has a great interior that is years newer than the 93-95 F bodies, so it should be in better condition.

You can always go backwards to OBDI or speed density if you want to, but it's hard to the other way. (not that you would want to.)

Most of the valvetrain is going to get changed anyways when you get a cam kit. The PCM will also get reperogrammed anyways, so who cares if the '97 is OBDII. You can EASILY swap to OBDI if you want to.

The exhaust will be taken off also, so who cares if the car has dual cats. The new headers and catback can be any style you like.

Those are just my unbiased thoughts. They are all great, but if I were looking to buy a used 4th gen, the '97 would be where I started.

I agree . 95 is the best one . I got rid of my 94 for my 95 and odly enough , the 95 was way faster and gave me no problems ....The 94 Had a few mechanical issues w/half the miles as the 95 .
A 97 is a LS1 priced LT1 .
95 all the way...

theres two parts to the opti eliminator you can get a stage one and it runs along with ur opti, but if you opti ever craps out completly then you can upgrade for a small price for a distributorless ignition. or just buy the stage two altogether.

I love my 93

I luv my 93. they have good stuff except opti and they do NOT have the powder metal connecting rods also.

I'll sell you my 93 Z28 for $3500.00 if you want it.
I am building a 67 Camaro and could use the $$.
