mind you, those scats are 4340 forged steel, and can 'supposedly' handle upto 700hp... and ure gunna be saving a lil bit of money in teh end too...
i went to a speed shop today, and teh guy told me that I beam rods are crap if i'm going for something like a turbo motor....
but these were priced better, and its 4340 steel, so they're pretty strong....
what do u say?

sorry, im tired and didnt look the the forging number in your post. i would go with the lunati pro mod or the callies dragon slayer, better heat treating and will be more likely to live if the boost gets turned up.

I know what youre saying though in equal metal the surface prep really makes a diff.
Although I do know that a 5140 rod will bend more before breaking than a 4340 rod, but the 4340 will take more before breaking.
