XE 236/242 dyno #'s
No doubt you saw those #'s. They are typical dynojet inflated numbers.
Launching better and what not might affect the et's, but not so much the trap speeds.
And none of that changes the fact that dynojets inflate hp numbers.

Lt1homer, how much does your car weigh? You say that mustang dynos are correct, and dynojets are inflated, but with your e.t. and mph, your car must be especially light. I have a calculator that hasn't failed me yet, then again, it could be setup for inflated dynojet hp numbers.
Also, I believe that Fred has done an engine dyno and a chassis dyno and with an auto it showed a 13% drivetrain loss. Seems kind of conservative even.

My car is full weight minus roughly 150 lbs (backseat, pass. seat, ac stuff) and it's a t-top car. And that trap is with tranny not going 2-3 w/ me having to let off the then get back on it. I expect 115 traps this weekend w/ a rebuilt tranny and et streets (w/ the additional weight of a 6 point cage and sfc's to boot). Wait til the cool weather comes, I might even see 116-117 a few times.
The guys at detroit speedworks said my car w/ those hp numbers should trap around 113-115 (using their calculator) and it was right on. In all seriousness, you probably are using a calc. meant for dynojet numbers because that is the industry standard (probably because they are much cheaper to buy and most shops don't want to fork the extra cash for the MD's). Put in 390 and tell me what you get, because I've heard MD's read roughly 12% lower than dynojets and 12% + 350 is right about 390. Catch ya later guys...

Like it was mentioned, 73rwhp isnt too shabby..and I know there is a lot more in it after I get it properly tuned and my tranny fixed.
So far, opti/plugs/wires are all in great condition...replaced all but the opti during the rebuild, adn the opti only has about 6months of use prior to deploying for 5 months..sooo, about a year old.
Once I get my tranny done, I can tune properly...untill then, I've gotta settle for a measly 353rwhp

Anyway that 73 rwhp is very respectible IMO & these LT1's are very inconsistant with each other when comparing to each others. You will squeeze out a bit more HP but just get it to the track to get some real #'s. That is where the bragging is. I gave up on trying to become a dynoqueen..... I want 11's & will get them!! That is what it is all about. 1/4 mile at a time...
Good Luck
