WTF is wrong with my brakes?

Ok....its gotten worse over the past few months, this is what my 95 ta does. Stock brakes.

Like every othertime I get in and turn on the car and drive, after I brake(from whatever speed to about ~15mph)...the brakes kinda click and tighten up, then the LO Trac light comes on...so I let off, and start accelerating again(this is cause I have 2 speed humps in my neighborhood)...well at the second one I slow down, and sometimes(1:3 times) it will go all the way to the floor(but still brakes, its just alot squishier)..I let off, and it goes back to normal pressure. So everytime I slow down below a certain speed, it does the LO Trac thing again where it clicks, and if I keep brakeing to a stop, right when it stops it stops really quick and liek resets.

ANyone have any idea what this is, so I can try to check somethings before I start pulling apart the brakes blind.

Oh yea, a while ago it started doing this again after it stopped for a while,a nd I checked and the brake fluid was a lil low...its been fine ever since(few months)..so if it is leaking any fluid, its reallyyyyyyy slow leak. I dont think air in the line could cause this could it? Should I try to bleed the brakes first?

THe ABS INOP light is pretty much always on.

Thanks

My car kinda does that, except when I brake hard, instead of the ABS light, the pedal kinda goes to the floor and the (BRAKE) light comes on. But all i have to do is let up and hit the brakes again and it goes away. Pretty sure its air in the lines.

I have the same problem but the abs inop light comes on and stays on. It doesn't happen any more (until i turn the car off and start it again).I think it is one of the abs sensors in the hub.

So should I just take it somewhere and pay them a fortune to fix it...or is it something I can do? Or just leave it alone for now.

Sounds ABS related to me, but I don't have any other helpful info to add to that since I haven't had to deal with it ~fortunately~.

Sounds like one of your front hubs is bad.

Mine has gotten to where the abs inop light comes on as soon as I put the car in gear. The brakes dont act funny as long as my abs inop light is on. I haven't tried to fix it yet but I think 1fast95z is right.

Quick Fix

Go under the hood and pull the ABS relay! Then your brakes will work just like they would if you didn't have ABS! Well unless something inside the ABS unit itself is screwed!

I got the very same problem with my car... until I noticed everytime I came to a slow stop the car would turn the traction light... pull to the right and do everything else you guys talk about...

I pulled the left front tire... unplugged the sensor and wiggled it back into the conector....

Problem fixed!!

under the little black box on the drivers side (under the hood of course) that says fuses/relays. the abs relay is right there along with others, theres a diagram inside the box if you have trouble finding it.
