won't start

My 1995 z28 died on me after driving it for about 10 mi. Well I should say I drove it parked it went in a store came back out in about 5 min and it wouldn't start put key in ignition turned it key indicator buzzer sounds but that's it no security lights no dash lights radio doesn't work power windows don't work but headlights ,interior lights and power door locks work battery tests ok 12v. I had a new key made same thing resistance on old and new key is the same and that's within limits. all fuses are good so I need help anyone got any ideas???Oh it doesn't have a remote starter.

Sounds like the ignition switch may have failed. Try looking through this:

check your fusable links under the hood by the battery loacated in the red box next to the power steering res, one might have blown... same thing happend to me and it was a blown link, i just replaced them all with normal fuse connectors and fuses that were the same as what the wires said (ex 30 wire got a 30 fuse)
