wiring: I need a key-on power source inside (manual fan switch)
wiring: I need a key-on power source inside (manual fan switch)
I followed the schematics on shoebox's website, I have it all set and wired up, but I can't find a key-on only 12V source to tap into
I will have the switch somewhere in the area of the center console...
obviously the lighter is always on , I tried the radio and from what I know pink and orange wires are usually possibilities but pink only has juice when radio is ON , and orange is always on (for memory I suppose).
what else to try?
thank you in advance, I'm sure this is an easy question for someone who has done this
I'm about to tap off a always-on source and put another switch in-line to cut it off

Why do you need a key on only source?
If you tap into the radio harness, yellow wire is always hot and the red wire is usually a key on hot source. All you need is a volt meter.
Also, if you have an after market radio, you can use the blue wire from the radio harness for a key on source. The blue wire is for a power antenna. I think Camaro's didn't have power antenna's but some Firebirds did?
I think the orange wire is only illumination, i.e. when you have the headlights on and adjust interior lighting (dim light wheel/control).
If you have an M6, the reverse lock out I think is only on when the key is on, not sure of the voltage though.
