wire A25 on the red PCM connecter on a 97 trans am
Re: wire A25 on the red PCM connecter on a 97 trans am
It's the blue wire about midway. It's on top of the grey wire and between 2 open slots that have no wires.
FYI, that blue wire is the "fuel enable" signal from the BCM to the PCM. When the proper conditions are met by the BCM, it will send that signal to the PCM that allows it to then activate the fuel pump. It appears that your "module" is going to trick the PCM by sending the fuel enable signal even though the proper conditions have not been met by the BCM.
I don't understand why you are buying a module. Why aren't you just using the proper value resistor connected to the BCM? Cost is about $0.70. I did it years ago when I changed out the steering wheel and removed the SIR coil.
I believe even with your module functioning and able to start the car, it's still possible for your "security" light to come on. Unless the module connects to the BCM also. Not that it's a problem just enoying.
