98 TA Conv Speaker Wire + or -
I am replacing the right front midbase of the component system in the door of my 98 TA converible. The wire colors are red and black/red. Anyone know for sure which is positive or negative?
http://www.installdr.com the site should have the wire codes.

if it follows the usual coloring code, red is positive and black is neg. Are those the factory wire or is it spliced on to the factory wiring? If the same wires go through all the way thru the door, then you may have to just track it down back to the HU.
I answered my own question if anyone else is interested. The red and red/black wires come out of the factory crossover to the mid bass. Using a D Cell battery I verified the red is + and red/black is -. This is on the left front anyway.
