Wipers

see if you can follow me...ya know when you turn on your wipers, and while they are on they won't go down all the way, they are about an inch or so higher, and when you turn them off they go down all the way...right? well mine don't go down all the way and it is so freakin annoying. Any Ideas?

well the thing is a few months agon they would sitting high when off, then out of no where they would just go down to the right position and stay there until the wipers had to be turned on again. but they haven't done that in a month or so, so I'm guess they aren't going down for a while until i figure out why

all the wiper trouble I have seen has been motor related. I would get used wiper motor and try that.

its not that hard just pop off the wipers and take the cowl screen off. then you will plain view of the motor if you can take a picture of the way the arms are in place (under the cowl) So when you go to put the new motor in you will know you have it right the first time. Here is a exploed view of the wiper assy. http://shbox.com/1/wiper_motor.jpg

Yes non parking wipers is usually the circuit board inside the wiper motor housing.
Also when you replace the 'ball and socket' linkage arms squeeze them tight/hard, or they tend to pop off[ there's like 'two notches' on it you feel when you squeeze it]
Had to do mine twice due to one popping off the first time.
[testing it before you replace all the cowling is a good idea also..]
