winter project questions

When i store my car this winter, i am planning on just replacing everything that is stock on my car (84,000 miles). Waterpump, plugs, opti, wires. When you guys talk about replacing the opti, do u mean just the cap and rotor, or the whole distributor assembly. Also, what else do u think i should do while i am in there. By the way, the tranny is gettin rebuilt(it pops out of reverse). The oil pan gasket leaks about a drip per day, i might do that, i have 4 months to get the project done.

I would just replace the whole opti if your going to do some general maintence. Might also be a good time to flush the radiator, clean the TB out, clean the IAC, and give the car a good cleaning all around.

Replace the whole opti.
Mine recently was replaced, I had a bad cap and rotor, the optical part seemed fine, but I replaced the whole opti anyway.
Its just too much hassle to remove the water pump and all the other stuff just to put a cap and rotor in and hope the opti lasts.
