will these be a problem
will these be a problem
so i got my package from summit and it was banged up pretty bad. the header gaskets got a little bent, do you think they are still useable? i dont want to go through the hassle and time of sending them back and everything but i will if there might be an issue.

When I installed my Pacesetter long tubes the percy gasket did not fit very well with the exhaust holes. I ended up taking the percys back to the store and installed the supplied gasket that pacesetter sent with the longtubes. No problems with their gasket.
i used the felpro gaskets, and actually cut them in 3 pieces so they would drop in without having to unbolt the manifold/header completely..
with the gaskets all one piece they wouldnt fit, couldnt get 2 center bolts started, after i cut them into 3 pieces and notched the holes so they would drop in, they fit great, just dropped in..

well i am currently running the felpros but i think i may have a small exhaust leak . since i am also putting on new o2s and extensions instead of splicing into the wiring like i did with my last set ones. i figured i would give the percys a try since i had heard good things about them up until now. i will post up again with how they went on once i finally get a chance to do the work. i didnt think the little crease would cause an issue and once i pulled them out of the package an hour ago i realized it wouldnt make any difference at all. its just unnerving when the box from summit shows up and is beat to heck thanks to ups.
I've installed those before and am not impressed with them at all - they are frustrating to work with. There are better gaskets out there. But to answer your question on whether that tiny amount of damage will make a diff, I doubt it will matter.
