What other parts do I need to make them work? Guideplates, hardened puch rods and springs...correct?

all you should need are springs that can take the extra lift

They are, Non-self aligning though...

oops, missed that part. then yes, you will need the guide plates and pushrods

How much clearancing is required? Is it extensive?
