Question Will stepping down to a smaller 48mm TB hinder performance?

Hey Fellas,
I currently have a BBK 52mm TB. I'm tired of it not closing all the way forcing me to romp on the gas to unstick it at times. This only happens when I get down on the car...not during normal driving.
My future mods to come should net me at least 375+ rwhp. Will stepping down to my stock 48mm tb hurt my car's future performance.

Thanks

Tim

well, it wont allow as much air to enter your intake manifold, so yea, it will hurt performance

are there screws holding the throttle blades? if so, loosen them slightly and make sure the throttle blades are centered. Might fix your problem

With 375 rwhp, expect a loss of 5-8 rwhp with the stocker back on. You could send the stock unit out to be bored out to 52mm...be around $150.00. Be alot cheaper than buying another BBK, Edelbrock, etc.

I would try getting a spring to help the throttle return back to where its suppossed to be. It could be an easy couple dollar fix...
