Popping when I let off the gas....

I know with no cats, LT's and duals or any free flowing exhaust for that matter you will get some popping when you let off the gas. I think I maybe running rich just because every time I let off the gas I get a couple pops like unburnt fuel igniting...Usually I know it only will happen after a good WOT session or even some spirited driving. This will happen now even if I barely blip the throttle....

What do you guys think?

I get that "popping" on decel too. I only have a high flow cat and flowmasters. I'm not exactly sure what causes it, but I like it.

Poping you hear is the exhaust gas' relighting, they do it even while stock a little, but from your exhaust or better words, there lack of, will deff do it more.

This is normal even for stock, more common with more open exhausts. Manual trans cars tend to pop more than autos.

I didn't drive my 94 for a couple months once and when I did it sounded like an explosion under my car when I'd let off the gas. Turned out my gas went bad on me. After I filled up and diluted the bad gas with good gas, explosions went away

So, is it possible you may have got a bad batch of gas? If it has been going on for months then probably not but you didn't say if it just started or not
