Wicked Vibrations--U-Joints?

Recently, my car has begin to vibrate very hard at like 80MPH. When I shift into drive, it makes a deep "Clunk", and when it downshifts, it is pretty hard. Just wondering if this sounds like bad U-Joints, which is what I suspect.

Thanks, Keith

don't bother... sure fire way to check a tranny mount... from a stop... slam the pedal at least 3/4ths down... if almost instantanously you feel/hear a violent BANG from under the console... bye bye tranny mount... if not... IMHO i'd say its that infamous lt1 steal driveshaft... go with ls1 aluminum ($200)

Yeah, I was thinking that if it was the driveshaft I'd replace it with an aluminum. Probably stonger trans mount if its that
