Thinking of changing cam..110LSA?

Are there any cams for the lt1 that has a 110lsa, other than a custom grind. The GM ASA cam for the ls1 sounds wicked, and runs wicked and the specs are 226/236 .525/.525 110LSA.

How much does a custom grind cost? I already have the 1.6rr's in my car now along with lt4 springs (which will need to be swapped)

What cam is good for me.. What lift would I need to get ground into the cam to get around .530-.540 or so with 1.6rr's?

Anyone know the powerband on an 236/240 .530/.530 110LSA cam?

Dont compare LS1 cams to LT1, the attempt is futile. Of course there are 110º and lower than that, anything you want.

With a 110 LSA, I think it's pretty safe to say that you won't pass emissions though.

You do relize that this is the LT1 forum and ASA cars run LS1's - right?

I had no clue about any of that? come on what kind of a statement was that? I know this is an lt1 forum and as I said above it is a ls1 cam.

Im just trying to compare the two..anyone have any input or run a similar cam? My friend runs the asa in his ls1 and it peaks about 6,200 and pulls flat to about 6,600. Lots of power throughout.

The problem is the cam profiles are nothing alike. The cam you mention would have a pretty good lope to it though if you put it on an LT1 car. There is a similar grind I'm aware of, a 225/234 but its on a 112, you'd have to request a 110 grind, no biggy though.

However I ran a larger cam and didn't have that much lope at all, it sounded almost depressingly mild, but it made good numbers. This leaves me rather convinced that some folks dont have optimized timing, and/or fuel. With open headers though it should sound quite nice.

1.6's will add around 30" of lift so if your looking for about a 540" lift with 1.6's then get a cam with about a 510" lift. a lot of people also think that roller rockers will change duration but they dont they just make the valve open faster.

If it opens faster and higher, than isn't it open longer?
I read they change duration by 1-2 degrees max.

BTW how do you like that B&M?

Where did you get it from? Thanks for the reply.

I like it alot. 3rd gear is just straight up because the springs pushing it over to the neutral position have ALOT of spring. So basically when ur smashing gears just push straight up with an open palm and it slides over automatically. It scares me because sometimes it feels like im going to hit first, but it doesn't.
