Why is my car kicking it sideways??
Well its winter now and when my car is cold and I first take off if I give it some gas and it shifts to 2nd gear it's and a4 it kicks it sideways quite a bit is this normal??
my a4 will kick to the left if the tires arent warm... (Cali weather so no snow or rain)
but in the rain i lost a lot of controll...
just around a 90* turn i got my car fishtailing full car lengths(width wise)
why? its called 200+ rwhp

Yeah..mine did the exact same thing. It is normal...but it's dangerious. A few spinouts and I was more than enough convinced to upgrade the suspension and Chassy. The tail end our cars are pretty light. As a cheap trick I threw some Cyderblocks in the trunk...most other people use sand bags..but sand leaks...It stopped the kickouts somewhat. other than that...
Hotchkis LCA's...and some Drag bags eliminated my problem.

actually, additional weight in the back will tend to make the car less predictable. (ever driven a porsche.. mid engine? they are hairy!)
just lay off the pedal a bit power and crappy tires will do that.

A friend of mine installed the adjustable panhard rod in the back of his 3rd gen and he said that the panhard bar eliminated the kick to one side after shifting into second.
I have not installed mine in my car so I cant tell you, but it is worth a try.
