why are FLP headers so expensive?

does anybody know why they are so expensive. i cant seem to find the kit for under 1200. is it really worth this money. will it make that much more power than hooker headers.

Are these headers a necessity for really high performance engines only??

Thanks,
Greg

Well they use to be the only LT's with emissions fittings on them. Also they come with 2 cats and cats can cost a bunch depending upon the brand i think that is where most of it goes. They are coated full length too.

As pretty much said above, they're LTs with emissions provisions, they're coated, they come with a Y-pipe(also coated), cats and off-road pipes...and they have excellent ground clearance. That's why they're so expensive.

Dynatech's are basically FLPs w/o everything above (they are coated though) and they're about half the price ($600-$650).

IMO, they're not worth it...unless you want to run an off-road Y but have emissions testing: Put cats on, take cats off.
