I took the Bosch pump back to PepBoys and I explained what happened and I told him I wanted a refund. The pump has a lifetime warranty, and it was only on my car for 7 months. He said he couldn't refund my money after 7 months, only exchange the pump for another identical one. So I told him that's BS and if I wanted to I could start dragging all my DOWNTIME AND DAMAGED PARTS $$$$ into this. So he said he could send it to Bosch and they can test it to see if it's defective. I must say I was skeptical, but today I reeived a full refund check from PepBoys!

Apparently Bosch determined that the pump WAS defective, so it DID DESTROY MY NEW TIMING GEARS!!!!
