Whos Deleted AIR and EGR?

looking to buy some emissions free LT headers. How many of you have deleted your AIR or EGR and are you happy? Any problems? How hard was it to delete? I have a 95z28, will i still get an SES light? Should i do it or no?

When I first installed my longtubes i just capped the AIR and EGR lines, removed the AIR pump and unplugged the EGR solenoid. Whenever I removed the intake manifold to change the gasket I made block off plates and removed the EGR valve itself.

Easy job and I never set any codes.

Just make sure every once in a while you check the back of the intake to make sure your blockoff plates are torqued down/not leaking. Removing that stuff was easy and there are also kits sold by different supporting vendors for both the blockoff plates as well as smog tube fittings in the event you don't immediately bolt up non-smog headers. No codes ever thrown for me, in both the '95 I have as well as the car in my sig.

As long as you keep the fuse intact for the AIR pump circuit, it shouldn't throw an SES light. The EGR is a hit or miss, some people don't get an SES light, other do. In that case, you would just have to have the code tuned out of the PCM.

Take into consideration your local smog laws in your state because it will not pass a visual inspection.

You will get a code for removing the EGR vacuum solenoid, unless you plug a resistor into the harness connector.
