Question While replacing the Optispark...

I took the old one off and when I turned it upside down, with the harness connection facing the ground, oil started coming out of that connection. I was just wondering if this is normal for a trashed Optispark or is there something else wrong with the car and the one I just put on going to do the same thing?

I'm sure the old one was trash because the car runs better now, but I just wanted to see if anyone had this same issue and wanted to know what caused oil to be in that section of the Opti.

Sounds like you needed to change the timing cover seals.

Well, I did change the Optispark seal out. I didn't mess with the water pump seal. It wasn't leaking to my knowledge.

When my crank seal went out, it started slinging oil up into the opti. Didn't cause a miss before I caught it, but I replaced it anyways.
