Where to tap for a permanent fuel pressure gauge
Where to tap for a permanent fuel pressure gauge
Thats the question. I plan on mounting it inside probably in a pillar or in the blank spots in front of the gear shifter. Where should I tap the line?
No need to tap the fuel line. Just uncap and pull the valve out of the Schrader Valve. Here is a pic from Shoebox's page of the location. Unscrew that cap and remove the valve in there with the same type of tool as you use to remove the valve in a tire. Email me and I'll see if I can dig up the part #s for ya for the rest.

Actually, I'm not exactly sure what the Schrader Valves purpose is. But, I'm positive this way works. I've had mine in for almost a year now. Injuneer told me how to do it and gave me the part #'s I needed. I'll see if I can did the those numbers up. Email me incase it slips my mind. rich_z28@hotmail.com
The Schrader connection is provided so you can attach a "test pressure gauge". It also can be used to bleed down pressure in the system. There is no other ready made location. I added a 1/8" NPT connection to the passenger side fuel rail, but that's sort of overkill, unless you no longer have a Schrader connection (I use S/S braided AN line and fittings).
I hope you are looking at an electric fuel pressure gauge.
