I wouldnt get em chromed if I were you because they'll just get off-colored in a month or even sooner. So ya not worth it IMHO

Best bet... cera-metallic coating. You can get a variety of finshes, and unlike chrome it lasts, doesn't discolor, reduces under hood heat, keeps heat in the primaries and increases HP, reduces stress cracking, etc. Chrome does nothing but look good when you take it out of the box.

www.finishlinecoatings.com

I purposely bought my SLP dual-cats w/o coatings so that I could have these guys do it. It is my opinion that they do excellant work.

I will even check on them for you if you decide to go that way.

where can i get something like this done at? i basically want it to look good. i have went with the ceramic coatings before (www.swaintech.com) and i didn't notice much difference in power or heat so this time i want to go more for looks.

i wish i could see more pictures of the work finishline does along with more info about themselves. i have had great luck with swaintech on headers, piston domes, and piston skirts but their header coating is just not that attractive. i have considered hpcoatings as well....

I had good results with AirBorn:

... and with HPC:

Anyone know if Paul Barry is still in the coating business? They were all the rage way back when, but their website hasn't been updated since 2000:

Re: where to get headers chromed

The pic's not that great, but here's a real-life side by side comparison between a polished aluminum turbo and a turbo coated with Cerakote Chromex:

Here's a more "official" example:

http://www.caswellplating.com/powder/ceramics.html

Bear in mind, that even though the finish won't discolor like regular chrome, it will eventually fail from heat cycling, outgassing and wear and tear from road debris and salt spray just like any other coating would.
