where do I install fuel pressure sender unit?
Re: where do I install fuel pressure sender unit?
Always helps to know what year car you have
On a 95 - 97 you install it to the Schrader valve located on the back of the fuel rail. You'll need a 90 degree adapter and be sure to remove the check valve located inside the Schrader valve (works like a tire stem valve).

94-97 are all the same... only the 93 is different on location of the Schrader valve.
Your fuel pressure sending unit will typically have a 1/8" NPT male connection on it. The Schrader valve has a -4An connection. Best way to connect is to get an NOS #17535 -4AN 90-deg swivel elbow. That gets the connection pointed away from the cowl, and allows you to "aim" the connection any way you want it. If you try that with a non-swivel fitting, you will probably nd up overtightening the connection and possible damaging the Schrader connection.
Also a good idea not to mount the sender directly to the Schrader connections.... the sender doesn't need the engine vibrations, and the hard line doesn't need the extra weight on the Schrader connection. Run a short length of braided SS hose, -4AN to connect to the NOS fitting, and 1/8" NPT on the other end to allow you to use a common 1/8" NPT coupling to connect the sender to the hose. This way you can tuck the sender out of the way, like behind the PCM. You can find the braided SS hoses on eBay for reasonable prices.
