Where do I get a 400 Balancer for my 383 LT1????
Re: Where do I get a 400 Balancer for my 383 LT1????
Sorry, dosn't work like that. 300 grams is a lot. Can't be done to my knowledge. I don't know of any fully internal balance cast cranks. Your gonna have to go forged, and they start at about $700.
Summit was honest about the crank. It will work in any one piece seal smallblock. And they included a note that said it did require a 400 style balancer to work. Gotta read EVERYTHING.
You could probably sell the crank to one of the third gen guys.

That is the exact crank I have used and am using. Does it need 300 grams or does it need to shed 300 grams?
I am using the stock balancer and flexplate.
They said on mine it onlt needed a few ounces of mallory.
How many grams make an ounce? Balancing cost me 180$ on it, their standard balance price at my machinists is 125$.

That crank works, getting it done today, will be done tommorow, I've seen this crank used before, but I guess the one I bought was really off from the factory. There's no 400 balancer and the guy said the 300 grams isn't that big of a deal. Well see what happens.
