Call them again, ask them for the part number, than order it from gmpartsdirect.com

You'll save over $230. Dealer mark up is usually 300%.

I've seen them on Ebay for $50-$70. I got lucky and found one in a junkyard for $10.

From my understanding the only difference between the two is the air silecing tube. I removed this plastic tube and used a peice of rubber cut in an ovel to fit the hole left by the silencer and used The Right Stuff sealant and smoothed it out on the inside. A little water(spit) lets your finger glide over this stuff and make a smooth plug if you will. IMO on the Aluminum peice it can get heat soaked and cause a HP loss not much but hey a little adds up.

Don't waste your money on a 1LE elbow, unless your stock one is ripped or something. Just plug the hole in yours and abracadabra, you have yourself a 1LE elbow and your wallet is still the same weight. Use a piece of 2x4 wood and cut out the size of the plug and hose clamp it in. You could even paint the wood black if you'd like, like I did. You know anyone with a jigsaw or bandsaw?

I have the trick flow one and it bolted on with my K&N intake with no problems. I hear that sometimes that the vortech one will have to be cut to work, but I have no experience with it.

why would it have to be cut? It comes with the rubber connection things that hold it to the maf and the tb.

The Vortech elbow is too long to be installed with the SLP CAI. At least that was my experience. Had to measure, tape a cut line, then had the local muffler shop saw cut to fit.

Dude, call Jason Cromer and order a 1LE elbow for like $45. I believe the part number is 25147210. He'll give you a good deal and wicked low shipping costs. Look on shoebox's sight to verify http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech1.html. Good luck with the purchases

I second that. Jason is THE best to deal with when going with GM parts and my only choice. I used to have a 1LE but have a Trickflow now, I'm just tired of rubber tearing on the lip by the TB.
