When should i repack my wheel bearings?

I don't know if you'd really want to wait until they break as that tends to cause severe vehicle damage and possible death... heh..
You can do the usual bearing tests, jack the car and shake the wheels and check for excessive play..... Though generally they get really noisy before they break, so if they're really noisy that's a sign of needing replacement.
77k isn't much though... I wouldn't worry unless they're noisy.

I only did the side that was bad, you will know if they are bad because there will be some play in the wheel. Jack the car up and get a hold of the wheel. If you can get movement out of the wheel (side to side) then you know the bearings are bad.
Also, you should get it aligned after you replace the hub(s).

I broke a hub at Texas World Speedway road course while doing over 100mph.
Luckily I got slowed down with no damage.
It felt and souded just like a blown tire and the tread coming off the tire.
In reality it was just the wheel moving all around on the hub without any bearings.
