well the other day, ihad my window down, i wanted to clean the windsheild cause there was some crap on there... but when i pushed the button it went up half way then stopped, i pulled on the window a little pushed it down a little, it went up another inch using the motor, and i kept driving for a while then tried it, each time it would go up a little bit

what would cause this?

could there be some sort of problem w/ power?

or is the power window going out on me?

 

your window motor is going out. Get a new one from autozone they have a lifetime warranty, then use shoebox's guide to install it.

 

the one in my car has a life time warrenty or the ones at autozone do?
and how much do i expect to pay?

Definetly your window motor, both of mine were going. Kinda embarrasing pulling on both the windows to help assist them up. I got my motors from Autozone, I believe they were the Siemens ones. Cost me about $80 each, and they had liftime warranties. shoeboxes install guide was a great help!

 

Passenger side on mine died. Put one in from NAPA. It died. They gave me a full refund (the have a NAPA sticker on their stuff) without receipt. Got another from NAPA and been going great ever since. Think mine got killed from the "auto roll down" mod I had on it. I took that out.
