You'd probably do better getting exactly what you want by picking up the phone and discussing it with a shop rather than on an internet forum. Check out Combination Motorsports, they seem to have about the best rep.

i just figured someone could give me just a little insight cause i was told just do a cam and not the heads cause the lt1s are already aluminum but i know the combo is the best or if i just went with the cam and no heads would there really be that big of a difference if i added a good set of heads with the cam one more thing is combo motorsports the only place i could contact for good advice?

What the hell does having aluminum heads have to do with anything? LT1 heads are ****! Get a good port job and a cam and the car should light up. Give Llyod Elliot a call and spec out a good cam after you get the heads back. NEVER get a cam first. You want to make the most with your setup and by choosing your cam last you will be able to make the most power more efficently. Heads by Lloyd are going to run you about 500-600 after valve job and machine work. Get a good custom cam ground for under 300 and you should be whipping those little LS1 boys up and down the street for thousands less than they paid!

Best heads + cam combo depends on the kind of money you are willing to spend. If you have around $7000 lying around, go get the 32Valve Arao heads + a custom grind cam. If you have around $1500, try Lloyd Elliott + custom cam. And if you have somewhere in between those, Advanced Induction + custom cam would be my recommandation to you.

I don't think Lloyd has a website yet. Good luck.

Also, keep in mind that it is not about individual parts, it is all about the combination of the parts and how well they work together.
