93Z IAC removal
93Z IAC removal
93's arent like the later years on these cars. I have the throttle body off and am down to the IAC. I pulled the connector and it popped off! Now all that is there is the IAC dangling inside its port or whatever you want to call it. How to i take that sucker out of there?
i can not get this damn thing out! it looks as if all you'd have to do if pull on it, bt i've used needle nose pliars and everything and have tugged like a mother and that dang thing WILL NOT come out! What am i to do?
ok, 1 major question. Does the part where the IAC is located seperate from the throttle body? Is that how you get it out? Cause the whole IAC was broke off inside and after removing all the broke pieces, there is a screw like object with a cone shape thingy on the end of it that will not come out! I'm assuming this is the remains of the IAC. I wont get my new IAC till tomorrow morning, so i need to get this PITA part off ASAP! Please, anyone!
c'mon, anyone? i'm lost! 94-up cars have the 2 hex screws that you take out and then the darn IAC pulls on out. On the 93's, the IAC is in a shaft like thing without any screws or anyhting. I'm so confused! I need help! lol I've pulled and everything...its like the pintle (end of the IAC...shaped like a cone) is bigger than the hole its in or something. It wont come out. Do i take the shaft off?
Well, to remove the IAC you need to get a wrench and screw it off the Throttle body.
Im kind of confused on what you mean by this. But the IAC is the entire unit that screws into the TB. The part of the IAC inside the TB will have a spring, shaft and pintle. But this is usually attached to the IAC.
the whole thing comes out as one
