what would happen?

What would happen if the aldl wires shorted out somewhere in the wiring harness?

I'm getting a really weird electrical problem where the computer resets and sometimes that fans will kick on. It's not in the ignition wires as I've checked all through those. It seems like when I wiggle the aldl wires is when it happens. Any idea? I'd hate to sit and unravel all the electrical tape just to find out that the aldl shorted out wouldn't even cause that problem.

The fans kicking on does sound like you have some sort of ECM problem. An intermitant short on the LADL plug could definatly cause some crazy stuff to happen for one thing it could cause it to think it was in diagnostics mode all of the time. Have you tried disconecting the ECM and running a continuity check yet?

No, I'm dying for help though. I have to get this working ASAP. I don't know which wire is where at the computer end to check. That would be very valuable info though. It's definately a short somewhere and it's involving the computer too because it's only computer controlled events that are happening. Mostly it's just the computer resetting and the injectors and pump priming. I've been at it all night so hopefully you can get back to me soon so that I have a shot at fixing it tomrw.
