What wires for LTCC and AS&M Mids

I have a LTCC setup mounted above my valve covers and Arizona speed and marine mid length headers. The wires are 13" long and run straight down like the LS motors. I keep burning my wires even with 1200deg boot/wire jackets. The 1/2/6/5 seem to always get fried. The boots are resting against the headers and eventually burn the silcone. I run Magnacore wires with a 90 deg boot. Does anyone else have this problem? Do I have to run them long and in the stock location? I was thinking about running them from the bottom (stock location) and bringing them up from the back of the motor to the coils. Does anyone have any pics of their setups? Thanks guys for any advice......John

I have RK sports which are basically the same as AS&M headers run over the valve cover with no problem on the driver side. The passenger side is impossible to do with that header tube running over the top of the plugs. Are you inside or outside of that pipe? I cant figure out how to do it with these headers. Now I have one side OTVC and the other side run like stock, looks funny

I have mine run on the inside. It is resting on the pipe but I put an old EGR steel gasket between the heat sleeve and the pipe. It seems that the 1 and 6 are the worst. I only checked one wire that was arching and I couldn't see any splits or burnt spots. Can you just put silacone on any split parts to prevent them from arching? Also once a wire starts to arch, are they ruined? Thanks....John

I never had luck with burnt wires, they always seemed to find there way back to where they get burned. Only solution seems to be routing them right. You should see the number of zip ties under my headers

I don't think that will work. My coils are set up directly above my pulgs. It's the bends ofthe headres thats seems to be the problem. 2,4,8,7 are the only plugs that have good wire clearence. 3,6 are bad and 1,5 are the worst. 5 being impossible from the top. I think I am going to have to run long wires from the bottom. Keep the ideas coming. Thanks guys.....John

That's one advantage of mounting the coils behind the lower radiator support. MSD 8.5's run under the headers with no problems at all.
