What tyoe of wire do I use to entend 02 wires?

I installed Hooker long tubes and I need to extend my 02 sensor wires a pretty good distance. Instead of paying a buttload for wires I can probably just solder up my own. I wanna make sure I do it right so im wondering what type of wire will work properly for doing this?
Thanks

When I put my headers on, BBK shortys, I needed to extend the O2 wire on the passenger side. Looked around the garage for similar wire, and extended it, by cutting and splicing. I don't know if it was right, but didn't have any problem either. Car smogged just fine. Must have done it right. Kevin.

I also used just regular copper wire and spliced it in to extend my O2s.
They work fine so I dont see a problem with it.
Soldering would probably be a more long lasting way to attach the wires but I don,t think its required.
Take your time though and do a good job, don,t rush it.
I think the reason mine worked so well is I took the time to make sure the connections were good and went the extra mile to make sure they would be protected, they are running under the car so they will see some adverse conditions.
