What are the symptoms of a burnt Valve
What are the symptoms of a burnt Valve
Long Story short:
Installed my Pacesetters and couldnt get EGR to fit on. Didn't block off at all(now learned that was a bonehead idea) because I needed a torch which I had to get from the shop. Drove to muffler shop, had the Y-Pipe put on then drove out to my shop to pick up a torch and back to my house.
Well now I have a ticking on my passenger side, smells like a lot of fuel is going through that side right now too. Loss of power and a bad stutter at idle. No check engine light on.
Edit: THe ticking sound speeds up on engine acceleration and I can also hear a sound of air escaping somewhere which would be exhaust leak, probably where the muffler shop welded...I hope.

If you drove around with the EGR connection to the header unsealed, there would have been an exhaust leak. That is going to cause noise plus confusion of the O2 sensor on that side. The false lean caused by the leak is going to cause the PCM to richen the mixture on that side and cause poor running.
