I'm not even going to read into all this craziness, but IMO every car is different b/c of different tolerances. I've never seen any year "consistently" faster than the other. I've seen slow LT1's of every year and fast as hell ones of every year....
Buy whatever you want according to the features you want. I have a '97 b/c I love the updated interior and taillights as my personal preference.
dual cats single cats who cares.. most of us ditch that **** anyways for headers/ypipe combos...
As far as my car, I love the way it has responded with it's few mods.
