What series carrier do I have?

Im going to get some 3.73s and they want to know what carrier i have. Also, should i go with motive gears or strange? Is the install hard to do or should i pay a pro? Thanks guys.

Depends on your stock gear ratio. 3.42, you have a 3 series carrier.

So have either of you guys done a gear swap yourself? Im deciding if im gunna do it myself of not.

Jonez , if I was you I would not do it my self . You need a press to do it right , the pinion is going to have to be pressed many times to get set right and the carrirer is going to have to come out many times until thje gear pattern looks right . Otherwise you may end up messing up your rear end , very badly . I have a friend that put them in his self , He is a mechanic , and a prety good one . He messed up a lil and it ruined his new carrier and hjis gears . Its worth a few hundred dollars to let the pro's do it . I just put 4:10's in mine actualy i watched and my buddie " recertified tech " did it , good luck!!!
