Post 2.73 to 3.73

I,m planning on installing 3.73 in the near future but I,m kinda confused on something. I know that you can buy 3.73 gears to fit a 2 series carrier but i read somewhere that you need a ne abs reluctor ring to do this. Can somebody help me out with this? BTW this is on a 99 Z28(sold the 93) Thanks

I'm no expert on this, but I think your best bet will be to change out the carrier to a 3 series.

Id rather just keep the 2 series carier if i can get away with it. I dont see the point in spending the extra money if i dont really need to. Im not going to race this car, just looking for a little more off the line acceleration. Anybody else know?

I did it..I got 3.73 richmond gears.
i removed my old p.o.**** 2.73's. no carrier needed and the difference is whhao..huge. I love it.
If you are auto4, get torque converter then gears. that is what i have and the car is monster now!
