What oil pressure is normal to see in an LT1? Both at idle and under load.

What does everyone usually see in their LT1?

The power of the shoebox must be on a microscopic level, as it is too tiny to read even after blowing it up 30 times

I can't tell you waht it should run, but I can tell you what mine runs and see if maybe you're higher or lower.

Upon start it's around 35-40 psi, and under load when cold it's at about 60-65.

Once it warms up it drops off. about 20-30 at idle, and 45+ at WOT.

Hope that helps.

Mines approx what jamons is, shoebox's website says 6psi minimum at 1000 rpm 18 psi minimum at 2000 rpm and 24 psi minimum at 4000 rpm and torque your oil filter down to 15 ft lbs

You must have a computer problem.

I'm pretty confident my computer is fine. The page for a split second actually is large, but then instantly it shrinks in size to a microscopic level. It's probably just a default setting my computer is at or something :blah:

Shoe's site works just fine for me.

On a cold start, oil pressure is around 65 lbs. Hot idle is around 35 lbs. At 60mph it's around 50 lbs. Using German Castrol 0W30 with the long Wix filter.

Your computer is not fine. I was not really referring to hardware. There is something on it causing the issue. Turn off automatic image resizing if you are using IE.

If IE is automatically resizing the image, putting your cursor over the image and left clicking your mouse should expand the image back to it's original size.

25-35 psi at warm idle is pretty high for a gen I or II SBC. Much higher than needed, that's for sure. Engines running that high are either set up too tight or have a bigger oil pump than needed. Either costs hp and causes other potential problems. You should see that on high an oil pressure at idle only you are running a very heavy oil, for some reason. I look for 10-20psi at warm idle depending on the oil used and the old rule of thumb of 10psi/1000rpm is a good one.
