what my CR when i mill my heads
#2
we just did this at work today it will raise 0.25 cr for every .010 you take off same with using thinner head gaskets so say you have 10.1 cr you will get 10.150 with 0.20 shaved if you took off 0.40 it would be 10.2 so this is not a very good way if your seeking higher comp.

You started off real good... with a 4" bore, you get +0.25 compression units for 0.01" cut. Then you lost it....
That would mean a 10.4:1 engine would go to 10.4 + 0.25 = 10.65:1. For a 0.02" cut, you get +0.50 units, or 10.9:1
