What mods can be done without reprogramming??

I need to rebuild the LT1 in my 95 Z28, I would like to make minor mods to get a little more power out of it. This my daily driver so I don't want to hassle with a finicky engine and I still want good gas mileage. It also has to pass a sniffer emissions test. It is pretty much all stock, Borla cat back, larger Ypipe, cold air intake. 6 speed with 3.42 rear.
Any recommendations??

you can get the computer e-tuned.... ie no dyno and and easy ECU swap - but something based on similar modifications as you have installed.

Actually I get better gas mileage and performance with a tune and it drives like it's 100% stock in traffic and around town, as well as runs cleaner.

So I would actually recommend you add a cam and get it tuned - you're best bet would be full on Dyno Tune - but that would mean finding someone with LT1 Edit (tough these days).

So just call PCMForLess and talk with them as to the available e-tunes they can provide.

Your description of the car does not match the "signature" vehicle... 160* t'stat, 4.10 gears, both of which would already have required a tune. Might want to clarify that.

You are correct Fred, I have changed the rear gears back to the stock 3.42s but still have the 160 thermostat. I have an early version of the Hypertech programmer in the car just for the cooling fans to come on sooner..
I need to change that signature. I have also gone back to the stock crank pulley.
