Question What Length Pushrods are You Using??

Hey,

I am currently having my heads ported, and milled .010, and i will also be running impala head gaskets .029, and am trying ti figure out if I will need to go down to shorter pushrods. Im also running a 306 cam, with 2.00, 1.60 valves. I was orignally planning on getting a pushord length checker, but I dont know if I will have the time to get the heads back, then check the length, and then order and wait for the pushrods, with school starting back up in a few weeks. Is anyone running a similar combo, and what length pushrods are you using?
Thanks,
Brandon

Anytime you mill, use different head gaskets do anything to change the deck height you have to check the pushrod length yourself. Every engine is different and even if some body has the same combo the pushrod lenth will probably be different. Dont take a chance at wearing out your valve guides.

Assemble to the motor and get (or borrow) a checking pushrod so that you get the correct length.

You should be cool on stock length. My heads are milled way more than that and I use stock length...

Just 'cause people are using the stock length is no reason to follow their lead. It should be measured.
