What last month of 1997 was the LT1 built?
Thanks I knew you would answer first.
My car says 151324 and you said the last was 160181 so they made about another 8,700 more then mine??
Can they make another 8,000 + camaro's in one month? I am guessing the last month for a LT1 camaro was around 6/1997 or early 7/1997?

I have a late 94, and the build date is July. If they built 60,000 Camaros in model year 97, they were averaging 5,000 per month. Its possible they built another 8,700 in a 2 month period.
Just providing you with the quantity produced. I don't know the plant schedule.

The Firebird Red Book only shows the first serial # for 96, and shows it incorrectly as "2100001". The erial numbers only started with 100001 for the Camaros. The Firebirds started with 200001.
Total Firebird production in 96 is 30,937 so the last VIN would probably be 230937
In the numbers 2224865 in your VIN, the first 2 represents the St. Therese factory as point of origin, the second 2 means its the start of a Firebird VIN, and 24865 is the sequence number.

Wire must have got crossed on that one... those are 96 numbers, and the last year the Red Book shows production numbers.
Go to this site for Firebird numbers:

I've compared several sites, books, etc, and the production numbers are not consistant. It also appears that some years the VIN #'s are higher than the production numbers. Mybe they skipped some numbers. I know the above source shows 45,992 Firebirds in 1994, the Red Book shows 45,782 but my very late 94 Formula has a VIN in the 50,000's.
