What kinda coil am I suppose to have?!

I have a 97 T/A WS6. My friend has a 97 Z28. Both of our cars have the same LT1 but his car has 2 plugs on his coil and he swears thats what im suppose to have on my car. From what I have gathered I have the correct one plug type coil for my car. Who has the right coil? Me or him?

The single connector coil was introduced on the f-body in 1996, so your 1997 should have one. Two connector coils ended with the 1995 model year.

I knew I was right about my one plug coil. The intriging thing is how in the world did he get a 97 with a 2 plug coil? All the wireing looks stock so I don't think he would have gone thru all that trouble just for that. I have to get to the bottom of this.

Someone blew his motor and swapped a 95 or earlier motor/harness in. Look and see if he has rear O2's in it.
