what exhaust with 383?
what exhaust with 383?
what kind of exhaust setup would u run with a 383? right now i have pacesetters coated longtubes that i was just gonna run open for awhile till i decided what to do on the rest. i was gonna do dual cutouts with a y-pipe but what catback then, i dont want one that pops and sounds like it back fires alot. or what aout true duals, how hard are those and what does it sound like? any sound clips would really help too. i want the best performance and best sound.
Re: what exhaust with 383?
True duals are a great idea, and the only reason I have yet to do it is cost. I recently saw the cleanest setup in person on trudualws6's car (do a search - his exhaust is bad ***), and I've thought about going the same route. Right now I've got Jet-hot LT's, dual Carsound cats, and a Borla with a custom plate, which does not have that raspy note or pop. Mike's true dual setup on his cam car sounds so refined, and the routing & workmanship is ingenious & top-notch.
Re: what exhaust with 383?
duals with x-pipe aren't much more than a catback unless you want to go over the axle. look here,

Re: what exhaust with 383?
like the old muscle car sound? you might want to upgrade to a real muffler though. duals are supposed to be great for midrange power and torque. plus the duals on that site are 3" not the typical 2.5". biggest problem with them is ground clearance.
