what does clutch chatter sound like???

what does clutch chatter sound like???

Just like it says. i think i might be having a little of it but not sure. Mine seems to do it at idle when i have the clutch out in nuetral.

Mine chattered when the clutch was being engaged. It would shake the car.

The "chatter" you are hearing is normal. I have the same thing w/ a new clutch in.

But does it sound like a knocking type sound, because thats what mine sounds like. Also does it usually do it when your foot is on the pedal or off???Mine does it when mine is off and my car is in nuetral

That's not chatter, It's your clutch fork rattling on your throw out bearing, and it's normal

is there anyway to fix it??? Does it do it only with the mcleod clutch because i had a stock one before and it didn't do that. Also if this is the case will it go away?

Also it doesn't sound like a rattle it sounds like a knock

Just take it to a trany shop and have someone listen to it. Your not going to get the right response here if we cant hear it.
