What is the black wire for near starter?
I believe it is the ground from the earlier pic posted. This wire looks smaller than the one in the later pic posted - plus this wire is very close to that bracket that it shows it being mounted on in the earlier pic.
My only question is - isn't that bracket it shows it being grounded to an aluminum bracket? If so - how would that work?/ It needs to be grounded to metal. So I'm thinking I will be better off grounding it to the engine block or the oil pan or something....
and thanx for all the reply's guys - you have been a great help!!

He posted the picture AFTER I posted a link. He edited his reply. I could make you look stupid too by deleting my reply right now then asking you wtf you are talking about. In fact wtf are you talking about?
You seem to enjoy arguing with people, particularly after you've made one of your tech errors. The exploding fuel tanks was a real gem.... but no need to go into that one here.
If you have a further problem, we can continue this discussion in a PM.

You seem to enjoy not reading posts and then replying to pick up an argument. I never said exploding fuel tank, I said don't break a system that handles explosive vapors, either remove it or fix it but don't break it and then leave it as is. You replied to a post and specifically selected it to pick up an argument. The reply I made was before he posted a picture and based on the description he had up it sounded to both me and the guy who replied right after my post that he was describing the battery ground on the passenger side motor mount. he wasn't he edited his post and changed it. Giving people a hard time for replying to a post that someone later edited is a prickish thing to do.
If you'd care to discuss it OUTSIDE the thread, feel free to do so. I have no intention of boring people with your issues.
"prickish"...... we'll have to add that to the language filter

I'd say he's talking about your post that he quoted.
