What is the best Exhaust setup for LT1?
What is the best exhaust setup for a 1995 Z28 LT1? Is 3 inch exhaust too big for a stock Z28? What is a good header brand name for the LT1? Does anyone have any sound clips of Borla, MAC, etc?

Jet hots, Hooker, Pacesetter are all good headers.
Best exhaust how? As in Sound or performance?
Sound would be GMMG cat-back. I love the sound of it. I actually have GMMG style mufflers on my true duals. I think the sound of GMMG mufflers combined with the X pipe is the best.
The best for performance would be 3" true duals into an X pipe with bullet mufflers. 2 1/2" exhaust is plenty enough for true duals unless you are making over 500rwhp.

Hooker Long tubes/ mufflex Y are the original favorite..big gains lower cost...Catbacks really depends on how loud you like it and how much you wanna spend....If I had to pick an all time favorite id Go GmmG Catback and FLP LTs...but thats some $$

right now I have a Borla on stock manifolds and y-pipe. and it sounds pretty good right now. In a few weeks I'll be putting on jet-hot headers and hi-flo cats.

I would personally do Jet-Hot LT's, and X-pipe and bullets as said above for best performance. If you live in a place with emissions i would do the Jet-Hot LT's, JetHot Y-pipe to either a borla or loudmouth catback. The loudmouth catback would be fairly loud though with the headers. It's all in your decision though as far as sound goes. Also if you plans are to HIGHLY modify the car you may consider going with some kooks headers too. almost twice as much as the JetHots but would gain you some more power later on.

I'd say the best is the cheapest, or whatever you can afford.
Pacesetters and their y-pipe, order a cheap catback.
On summitracing the catbacks start at like $370, you can get pacesetters about $400, y-pipe $130. add in enough band clamps for the system, 02 extensions, gaskets, at another 100 bucks, and you're rollin!
