LT1 Based Engine Tech 1993-1997 LT1/LT4 Engine Related

Went from 2nd to 1st (again) - over revved the engine - now runs rough at low rpm???

Wouldn't bet on the Opti. When my A4 went out I was pushing the motor to redline everyday. Didn't have any problems.

Do a compression test. A bent valve will show up.

About the only thing a severe overrev wil do to the clutch is explode it, but not to worry. You engine would go first.

I'd let you drive my car...it's an A4.

I was thinking along those lines as well. Seen it tooo many times.

I would notice a toasted clutch right? As of now it shifts and grabs pefect with no noises.

I planned on doing heads/cam over the winter, so this is just a kick in the *** forcing me to do it i suppose.

If anyone is interested I have maps for gear selection on 4,5,&6 speed for sale!!!!!


The bent valve theory would be your best shot. Do a compression test,that will tell ya.
