weird transmission finding, worry or not?

I was underneath my car installing sub frame connectors when I happened to roll by tranny while on the creeper and I noticed something just a little weird. (I'll e-mail you a picture if needed.) A sensor connected to the tranny at the top on the drivers side was taped up with a resistor in the end of it! Please someone tell me this is just the ghetto skip shift eliminator, cause if it's anything else, I will be highly peeved! I know my car has skip shift eliminated, but I don't know how (previous owner did it).

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's all it is. One of the sensors is for reverse lock-out, and the other is for the 2/3 lock-out.

color me stupid, but I thought that CAGS was the 1st to 3rd shift in which the tranny made you shift from 1st to 3rd. I had a 94 Z that did NOT have that removed and it was a royal PITA!

ttt
can anyone else confirm this?
I thought the CAGS was the skip that made you shift from 1st to 3rd.
I can take a pic and e-mail which sensor was pulled and "modded" with a resistor.
