Hey guys i have a 97 lt1 z28 with a mild can and roller rockers and a full exhaust, nothing really major, and ive been having an odd issue with it lately. The car has always been good to me and ran like a champ. But lately ive been having this issue where the car will accelerate fine up to 4000 rpms, but then all of a sudden its like it loses 50 hp and hesitates and has a miss in it, and it will do that until 4500 rpms and then it will run like a champ again as high of a rpm i wanna take it. It may not seem like much but it makes a big difference when all of sudden you seem to lose all your power. At first i thought it might be an ignition or fuel problem but i checked all the plugs and wires and they seem fine and i cant imagine it being a fuel problem since it only ever does it between 4000 and 4500 rpms. It has me completely baffled. The only thing i can think of is maybe a tuning problem shutting the fuel off at those rpms. Idk really, thats why im asking yall. Lol. The car has no ses codes except one for a oxygen sensor, but that has always been there. Any insight would be much appreciated!
